Fox Hill Supercross is Sri Lanka's premier annual motocross and supercross event, drawing thousands of spectators and competitors from across the island and internationally. Diyatalawa sits in the Uva highlands, approximately 200 km from Colombo. By road, take the A5 via Kandy, Nuwara Eliya and Welimada — allow 4 to 5 hours depending on traffic. A tuk-tuk or taxi from Bandarawela or Haputale station covers the final stretch to the venue.
By rail, the Badulla line from Colombo Fort stops at Diyatalawa station. Trains to Badulla take around 10 hours; take an overnight train the evening before the event and arrive refreshed. Check the Sri Lanka Railways schedule for current timings.
Accommodation near Diyatalawa is limited, so book early once the event date is confirmed. Ella (around 45 minutes away) has the widest range of hostels, guesthouses and hotels. Bandarawela (20 minutes) has budget hotels and guesthouses close to the track. Haputale is another option with dramatic views and affordable stays.
